On Thursday 29th November PSC members and supporters joined thousands across the world in marking the annual UN International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People. And coming up next week is yet another important day for the Palestinian solidarity movement – the anniversary of UN Resolution 194 which established the legal basis for the Palestinian Right of Return. PSC is marking the day by co-hosting a public meeting which will address the urgent threats to this right arising from Trump’s cuts to UNRWA funding and what response is required from the solidarity movement.
At the start of November we held a conference entitled “Justice in Palestine: Ending Apartheid, Achieving Freedom and Equality” with speakers from across the world including Professor Virginia Tilley, Rima Khalaf and Rebecca Vilkomerson. The conference hosted a range of panels and workshops to examine the nature of Israel’s apartheid regime and look at the response required from activists to support the Palestinian struggle, and was attended by an incredible 250 people.

Throughout the rest of the UN day of solidarity, PSC supported students at over 30 campuses as they joined the #ApartheidOffCampus national day of action to protest UK universities’ complicity in Israel’s violations of international law and human rights. Actions ranged from banner drops and rallies to stalls and exhibitions.
